1 The Plow

In any of the River Valley Civilizations, people made great strides in developing agricultural techniques. The most important being the plow. This tool is used to prepare farmland for growing crops.

2 Copper and Bronze

The Sumerians were the first known civilization to use copper and bronze for making tools and weapons.

3 Writing Form

The cuneiform is one of the earliest (if not earliest) writing form in the world. The shapes and symbols were wedge shaped.

4 Wheel

The Sumerians are given credit for having the oldest known wheel according to archaeologists. It has been dated back to 3,500 B.C.
